Every trailer on the lot, from stock to invoice.

Utility, cargo, equipment, and specialty trailers — Calibrate keeps units, parts, and service in one place, so a sale, a parts order, and a warranty repair all live on one record instead of a POS and a spreadsheet.

The daily grind

Sound familiar?

  • The same trailer shows available in two places and I've promised it to two customers.

Inventory is one live record — status changes once and everyone sees it, so a unit is never double-sold.

  • Every trailer has VIN, GVWR, axle count, and size — and my POS has one line for a description.

Add VIN, GVWR, axle, and size as custom fields you define in-app on each unit.

  • Warranty jobs, bearing repacks, and wiring fixes get lost between the counter and the bench.

Work orders check a unit in, track the repair through to done, and hold parts and labor on the ticket.

  • A sale is a trailer plus a hitch, plus wiring, plus a spare — I need it all on one invoice.

Quotes build the whole deal as one document that becomes an invoice, nothing forgotten.

The unit

Your POS gives you one line for all of this.

VIN, GVWR, axle count, deck length, coupler, brakes — the details a customer asks about on the phone. In a description box none of them are searchable; as fields, you can filter the lot by them and quote straight from them.

A comparison. In a typical POS the whole trailer is one description line reading “20ft equipment trailer, tandem axle”. In Calibrate the same unit carries separate searchable fields for VIN, GVWR, deck, axles, coupler, and brakes.

The Trailers & towing field pack puts VIN, GVWR, deck size, coupler, and brakes on every unit. Each one is its own field you can search, filter, and quote from - not text someone typed into a description box.
Both halves

A lot that sells, and a counter that services.

Most retail software handles the sale and leaves the service side on paper. On a trailer lot those are the same customer and often the same unit.

Sell the trailer, then Service it later, then Keep the history.

Calibrate records warranty jobs for your own tracking — it does not file claims with a manufacturer on your behalf.

Built for the work

The modules that carry your day.

Every plan includes the whole system. These are the parts a trailers & towing shop leans on most.

The Trailers & towing field pack covers VIN, GVWR, deck size, coupler, and brakes — turn it on in Settings, or add your own fields.

Getting started

Switching doesn't have to be a project.

You configure Calibrate yourself — no migration ticket, no waiting on a developer to add a field.

  1. 1

    Import the lot

Load your customers and trailer inventory from spreadsheets with the built-in import wizard, included on every plan.

  2. 2

    Turn on the field pack

Switch on the Trailers & towing pack in Settings for VIN, GVWR, deck size, coupler, and brake fields on every unit — then add anything specific to your builds.

  3. 3

    Sell one and service one

Quote a trailer with a hitch and wiring, invoice it, then open a warranty ticket against the same unit. Both halves of the business on one record.

Questions

Common questions from trailers & towing dealers.

What software should a trailer dealer use?
A trailer dealership is really two businesses on one lot — unit sales and a parts-and-service counter — and most retail POS systems only handle the first. Calibrate keeps units, parts, and repair tickets on one system, so a sale, a hitch install, and a warranty repair all attach to the same customer and unit. VIN, GVWR, axle, and size are built-in spec fields rather than a description line.
Does it track VIN, GVWR, and axle specs?
Yes. The Trailers & towing field pack covers VIN, GVWR, deck size, coupler, and brakes — switch it on in Settings and the fields appear on every unit. For build-specific options an admin adds custom fields in-app, with no migration and no support ticket.
How do I stop a trailer being sold twice?
Inventory is a single live record rather than a spreadsheet copy. When a unit's status changes it changes once, and every salesperson sees the same value immediately — which is what removes the double-sold and double-listed problem that comes from a spreadsheet and a website drifting apart.
Can a quote include the trailer plus hitch, wiring, and accessories?
Yes. One quote carries the trailer and every add-on as separate lines and converts to a single invoice, so the hitch, the wiring harness, and the spare do not get forgotten or billed on a separate ticket.
Does it handle warranty and repair work?
Yes. Work orders check a unit in, track the repair through to done, and hold the parts and labor on the ticket, which then invoices. Calibrate records warranty jobs for your own tracking; it does not file claims with a manufacturer on your behalf.
How much does trailer dealer software cost?
Calibrate publishes its pricing: $2,000/month for Core (up to 5 users) or $5,000/month for Plus (up to 20 users, adding online card and ACH payments, QuickBooks Online sync, AI automations, and managed email from your own domain), with two months free on annual billing. All modules are included on every plan.
